KINGSTON, R.I. – University of Rhode Island softball head coach Whitney Goldstein has announced her resignation, effective immediately. A national search for a new head coach will begin without delay.

"We wish Whitney well. We now will move swiftly and efficiently in conducting a comprehensive search to find the next leader for our softball program," said Director of Athletics Thorr Bjorn.
