RHODE ISLAND VS. BRYANT - SERIES NOTES
  • Tuesday night's game will be the 11th in the history between Rhody and Bryant, which dates back to 2010.
  • Since then, URI has earned a 6-2-2 advantage and has won two of the last three meetings.
  • A year ago, the Bulldogs claimed a 4-0 win on their home pitch in Smithfield (Sept. 19).
  • Prior to that, the Rams had defeated Bryant twice by the same score in both 2018 (Aug. 27) and 2017 (Sept. 7).
  • On average, URI has scored 2.4 goals per game opposite Bryant. Rhody has scored four or more goals in at least six games against the Bulldogs.
  • Rhode Island has a 3-0-1 record against its in-state foe at the URI Soccer Complex.
  • Each side enters the game with a two-match winning streak.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
  • Bryant is coming off a 3-0 victory that it earned at NJIT in its America East conference opener (Sept. 28).
  • Cristian Guirado netted a pair of goals to lead the Bulldogs past the Highlanders.
  • The shutout was one of five that goalkeeper Antreas Hadjigavriel has posted this season.
  • The Bulldogs have been strong on the road this season, earning a 3-1 record outside of Bernie Stadium.
  • Bryant's lone road loss was a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat at Providence College (Sept. 14).
  • Offensively, the team is led by Marc Pitarch Bayot and Guiraro, who have three goals apiece.
  • The Bulldogs average 1.44 goals per contest while giving up just 0.56.
RODRIGUEZ MAKING THE SAVE
  • Goalkeeper Edu Rodriguez has been playing some of his best soccer in his senior season.
  • His save percentage of .879 leads the Atlantic 10 conference and ranks third in the nation, behind Purdue Fort Wayne's Nic Diana (.909) and Oral Roberts' Joao Mesquita (0.882).
  • With 540 minutes under his belt, Rodriguez has been on the field longer than Mesquita (465).
  • Rhody's keeper also checks into the nation's top 20 in goals-against average (.667, ninth) and saves per game (4.83, 15th).
  • As a team, the Rams are seventh in the country in goals-against average (.625).
