KINGSTON, R.I. -- Rhode Island men's track and field hosted the URI Invitational Saturday, welcoming schools from across New England to Mackal Field House. The Rams won five events in Rhody's first home meet of 2025.

Highlights from Competition 

• Alex Arbogast won the 60m final in 6.81 seconds. LJ Raye (6.92s) and Jacob Volkerts (6.96s) both finished in the top five, at third and fourth respectively. 
• Antonio Capalbo won the mile in 4:12.29. Nick Martin placed third in 4:15.24.
• The 4x800m relay team of Elijah Saddlemire, Nick Martin, Antonio Capalbo, and Maddox Jordan won in 7:51.58.
• Matt Santy claimed first in the high jump after marking 2.10m (6' 10.75"). John Santos placed third (1.95m/6' 4.75").
• In the pole vault, Mason Brubaker placed second after clearing 4.75m (15' 7").
• Joachim Ennoo finished second in the long jump with a leap of 7.11m (23' 4").
• Theo Puterbaugh won the shot put after throwing 16.38m (53' 9"). Winslow Sightler placed second with a 15.28m mark (50' 1.75").
• The 4x400m relay team of Adam Melnick, Matt Armstrong, Jack Martin, and JV Cunha finished fourth with a time of 3:28.45.
• Nathan Sims placed second in the 200m in 22.57 seconds.
• Jaden Enis finished seventh in the 500m (1:07.60).
• Maddox Jordan finished fourth in the 1000m, crossing the finish in 2:29.41.
• In the weight throw, Alexander Baez placed second with a mark of 18.90m (62' .25") and Nate Field was third (17.06m/55' 11.75").
