Day Two Results
HAMPTON, Va. – Junior
Rylee Kelly scored the lone individual points for Rhode Island on Day Two of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming and Diving Championships Thursday.
Kelly qualified for the consolation final in the 500-Yard Freestyle and placed 12th out of 60 entrants. Kelly started the consolation final strong, leading the field through the first several laps. However, George Washington's Taylor Bernosky and the Richmond duo of Erin Budde and Kaitlyn Baur finished strong to claim the top three spots.
Kelly's time of 4:55.18 was slightly ahead of her prelim time of 4:56.72. She was just .04 seconds behind Baur to the wall. The 12th place finish earned five team points for the Rams. Â
The Rams Rhode Island got 12 team points for placing 11th in the 200 Freestyle Relay. The team of freshman

Ella Hacker and sophomore
Avery Potyrala finished in a time of 1:34.90, just behind the Saint Louis team's time of 1:34.87.
Rhode Island was shut out in the 200 Individual Medley and 50 Freestyle, with no individuals advancing past the prelims.
The Rams remain in 10th place at the midway point of the championship with 55 points. At the top of the standings, it is a two-team race between George Washington (256) and Richmond (228). Duquesne is a distant third with 182 points.
In Friday's action, the Rams have several individuals with a chance to qualify for the finals. Sophomore
Julianna Tyler is seeded sixth in the 400 Individual Medley, Kelly is seeded 10th in the 200 Freestyle and senior
Hannah Benavides is seeded 12th I the 100 Breaststroke.
All three Rhody divers have the potential to advance in the 3-meter diving event. Sophomore
Anna Petke is the top seeded, while junior
Lily Hsu (6th) and sophomore
Olivia Winslow (9th) all could challenge for finals spots.
