Day Three Results
HAMPTON, Va. – Rhode Island had its best day thus far at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming and Diving Championship, scoring 76 team points Friday. The Rams had entrants advance beyond the prelims in five of the six individual events on the day, and URI had its best relay race showing of the championships so far.
Junior
Rylee Kelly and
Hannah Benavides tied for the best individual performance for Rhode Island over the last three days, as they both finished seventh in their respective events. Kelly placed seventh out of 72 entrants in the 200-Yard Freestyle, finishing with a season-best time of 1:50.48 to score 12 points for the Rams.
Similarly, Benavides delivered a season-best time of 1:02.44 in the finals of the 100-Yard Breaststroke. She also scored 12 team points for the Rams. Also scoring in the 100 Breaststroke was sophomore
Logan Norrid, who placed 15
th out of 36 to earn two team points. Â

Ella Hacker and junior
Abby Zadorozny placed eighth in the 400-Yard Medley Relay, setting a program record in the process. The time of 3:45.90 was the fastest in school history and earned the team's biggest chunk of points on the day, adding 24 to Rhode Island's total. The previous record of 3:46.32 was set on Feb. 21, 2014 by the team of Emily Thomesen, Rachel Revolinski, Colette Aubin and Chaya Zabludoff.
Sophomore
Julianna Tyler and freshman
Lily Gugino both qualified for the consolation final of the 400-Yard Individual Medley. Tyler's time of the 4:21.52 won the consolation final and provided nine team points. Gugino placed 13th with her time of 4:26.76, adding four team points. Junior
Sarah Koenig just missed scoring in the event. She placed 17th in the prelims and was the first alternate for the consolation final.
Senior
Jackie Triglia swam a strong race in the morning prelims to qualify for the consolation final of the 100-Yard Butterfly. Seeded 25th out of 53 entrants, Triglia outperformed her seeding and placed 15th in the prelims.
In the evening session, Triglia kept improving, finishing 14 th overall with a time of 55.53. She scored three team points. Triglia nearly scored in the 100-Yard Backstroke as well, placing 17 th out of 35 entrants and missing the consolation final by just one spot.
Finally, the duo of sophomore
Olivia Winslow and junior
Lily Hsu combined for 12 team points in the 3-meter dive. They placed 10th and 12th, respectively in the event.
Rhode Island remained in 10th place in the team standings. With 131 points through three days, the Rams need 18 points on the final day to eclipse last season's total of 148, which was the highest team scored since the 2018 championship.
