KINGSTON, R.I. - Anthony DePino was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday afternoon.
The Rhode Island Baseball senior, who previously collected the award back on March 5, slugged his way to weekly honors after hitting .600 over a four-game span for URI. DePino helped the Rams to a 3-1 week with a midweek win over Boston College and a series victory over Richmond.
DePino's strong performance was highlighted by him hitting for the cycle in URI's 20-1 win over the Spiders. The Madison, Conn. native singled, had two doubles, tripled and hit a home run to achieve the historic feat. He finished the week with nine RBI on a 9-for-15 clip at the plate. He worked five walks and scored nine runs.
Defensively, the third baseman added seven assists and three putouts while committing one error. He also added a stolen base.
DePino is the first Ram to earn two Player of the Week awards in one season since Addison Kopack did so back in 2022. He and the rest of the Rams will be back in action on Wednesday, April 9 against Quinnipiac. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Bill Beck Field.
