KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island is back in action Sunday for the start of the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse. The three-day tournament features a single round of competition Sunday through Tuesday.
The Rams - who won this event last season - are looking for their third straight team title to start the year. In 2024, Rhody had three individuals among the top 10 at the UConn Invitational.
Tyler Bruneau placed second overall, while

Aidan O'Donovan finished fifth and ninth, respectively. O'Donovan is making his fourth appearance at the event. He placed 10th as a freshman in 2022.
The trio is back this year, along with juniors
Josiah Tong and
Tony Liu. A year ago, Liu tied for 43rd out of 78 players. Tong is making a return to GreatHorse after he tied for 28th during the 2023 tournament.
The field consists of 15 teams. In addition to the host Huskies, Boston College, Bryant, Fairfield, Fairleigh Dickinson, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Merrimack, Providence, Sacred Heart, Siena, St. John's, Trinity, and Villanova will be competing.
Each round of competition will begin at 8:30 a.m.
