KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island women's track and field impressed during its first action of 2026. The Rams had six event winners in Saturday's nonscoring meet. 

Highlights 

• Sophomore Lily MacDonald won the long jump with a leap of 18' 3.25".
• Junior Alyssa Yankee won the shot put after a 44' 2" toss.
• Yankee also finished second in the weight throw (50' 7"). 
• Junior Madison Boucher had the fourth-best throw in the weight throw (46' 10"). 
• Rhode Island had four of the top five best finishes in the 400m dash. Laurel Filiberto finished first (58.94), Greta Dahl finished second (59.44), Anna-Rose Merchant was fourth in the event (59.82), and Keira Cleary had the fifth-best time (59.86).
• Senior Lily Saul (1:14.00), freshman Reagan Garibaldi (1:16. 59), and senior Zoe Catrambone (1:16.69) were the top three finishers in the 500m run. 
• Sophomore Kelsey Wolff (2:57.67) won the 1000m run. 
• Sophomore Macy Daigle cleared 5' 6.25" in the high jump, tied for the best of the day. 
• Sophomore Allison Vigue placed second in the pole vault (12'). 
• Senior Leyla Kvaternik had the second best finish in the mile run with a time of 5:08.99. 
• Freshman Zarah Singleton had the second best finish in the 60m hurdles (9.07).
• Rhode Island had the top four finishing teams in the 4x400m relay: 
  • Abigail Colella, Saul, Nyah Santana, Garibaldi (3:52.72)
  • Joyce London, Merchant, Keira Cleary, Sydney Haik (4:00.03)
  • Catrambone, Daigle, Dahl, Filiberto (4:02.89)
  • Joanna Ball, MacDonald (So.), Lilly Pittakas, Emma Halsey (4:14.79)
