RHODE ISLAND VS. DUQUESNE - SERIES NOTES
- Rhode Island and Duquesne are meeting for the 68th time, with URI holding a 36-31 lead in the series.
- Duquesne is 17-14 when hosting the Rams, including a 67-55 win on New Year's Eve last season.
- The Dukes have won the last three meetings between the schools.
- Rhode Island has dropped its last five visits to Duquesne, with its last win at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse coming on Jan. 21, 2017.
- Duquesne is 8-5 at home this season, but it has dropped four straight home games, including an 87-79 loss to St. Bonaventure Wednesday night.
- The Dukes are one of the top fastbreak teams in the country, ranking 26th nationally and second in the Atlantic 10 with 15.65 fastbreak points per game. Â
- Duquesne's Tarence Guinyard enters the weekend with a league-high 117 assists and leads the conference with 5.57 assists per game.Â
- Guinyard also ranks fourth in the A-10 with 16.2 points per game.
- Duquesne has two of the league's top 10 scorers. In addition to Guiyard, Jimmie Williams is eighth in the A-10 with 15.8 points per game.
- Duquesne's David Dixon and Rhode Island's Keeyan Itejere are tied for fourth in the league with 31 blocked shots and 1.5 blocks per game.

- The game will air nationally on USA Network.
- Jason Knapp will handle the play-by-play along side Dereck Whittenburg as the color analyst.

TRIPP, COCHRAN BOTH COMING OFF BACK-TO-BACK 20-POINT PERFORMANCES
- Rhode Island wings Jahmere Tripp and Tyler Cochran both have scored at least 20 points in each of the last two games.
- The last time Rhode Island had two players with at least 20 points in consecutive games was during the 2018-19 season.
- That year, Fatts Russell had 41 and Jeff Dowtin added 23 in an overtime win at Saint Joseph's on March 5, 2019.
- One game later, Russell had 27 and Cyril Langevine had 21 in a win over Massachusetts.Â
- In Tuesday's win at Dayton, Tripp had a career-high 24 points and Cochran had a season-best 21.
- In the Jan. 24 win over George Mason, Tripp had 23 points and Cochran added 20.
- Rhode Island has three games this season in which two players have scored 20 or more points in the same game.
- Jonah Hinton had 25 and Cochran had 20 in the team's victory over Temple on Nov. 26.
MINUTES FOR JOHNSON EQUALS WINS FOR RAMS
- Point guard RJ Johnson made his first start of the season at Dayton on Tuesday.
- The Rams are 9-4 when Johnson plays at least 20 minutes, and 4-4 when he sees 19 minutes or less.
- Johnson had the game-winning shot with 2.3 seconds to go in a 69-68 win at Richmond on Jan. 21.
- On Tuesday, he was 6-for-6 from the free throw line in overtime - including 4-for-4 in the final 13 seconds - to help Rhody beat Dayton 81-76.
- Over his last four games, Johnson is averaging 10.8 points per game, double his season average (5.4).
- He has averaged 8.2 points over his last nine games after scoring 3.1 points over the first 11 games.
COREY AND WINNING GO HAND IN HAND
- Point guard Myles Corey has been a winner at every stage of his collegiate career.
- Over the course of his career, Corey's teams have a combined record of 108-56.
- Corey was a two-time NAIA All-America Honorable Mention while at Jessup, where he played in the NAIA National Championship twice while leading the team to a 74-37 mark over four seasons.
- Last year, he helped South Alabama go 21-11.
- In addition to averaging 9.1 points per game, Corey is averaging 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
