KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island's Tyler Cochran was named the Atlantic 10's Men's Basketball Under Armour Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Cochran had a monster performance in the team's lone game of the week. He scored a career-high 34 points with 10 rebounds and two steals in an 82-77 win over Richmond. on Saturday. Cochran made a career-best 15 free throws in the win, going 15-for-17 from the stripe. It was the second time in three games he went to the free throw line 17 times. He was 12-for-17 at Dayton.

Cochran has scored in double digits in seven straight games, averaging 19.9 points in that span. In Atlantic 10 play, he is fifth in the league with 17.1 points per game and 11th with 6.1 rebounds per game. He is the second Ram to be named the A-10's Player of the Week this season. Jonah Hinton earned the honor for the week of Nov. 24.

Rhode Island plays at George Washington Tuesday night looking for its fifth win in the last six games. The game will stream on ESPN+ and the Varsity Network.
