Rams Hit the Road for George Mason Saturday

RHODE ISLAND VS. GEORGE MASON - SERIES NOTES

  • The Rams hit the road for the final regular season contest away from Kingston Saturday. 
  • Rhode Island is 4-4 on the road this season.
  • It's the second time in program history the Rams have faced George Mason.
  • A season ago, Rhody beat the Patriots 15-8 on April 12, 2025.
  • URI is looking to snap a two-game skid after falling to VCU (14-11) and Davidson (17-7). 
  • George Mason has lost its last three straight games. Last time out, the Patriots fell to St. Bonaventure 16-8 on April 11.
  • Kate Anders leads George Mason with 58 points this seaon after scoring 46 goals and adding 12 assists. 
  • Head coach Kara Mupo was named the fifth head coach in the history of the George Mason women's lacrosse program on May 26, 2020.

LAST TIME VS. THE PATRIOTS...

  • Rhode Island used an evenly distributed offense to pick up a conference road win at George Mason last season. 
  • URI had five different goal scorers in the first half. 
  • It was never a doubt for Rhode Island in the fourth, as the Rams used a 5-0 run over the final six minutes of the game to pull away with the win. 
  • Rhode Island was led by Caralie Basuel's four goals. She added an assist for a team-high five points. 


QUEEN OF THE DRAW

  • Rhode Island sophomore MJ Timpanaro leads the Rams with 72 draws through Rhody's 14 games. 
  • She's averaging 5.14 per game, good for third in the Atlantic 10. 
  • Timpanaro had a season-high 10 on the circle in Rhody's win at La Salle. 
  • At Duquesne, the midfielder controlled a game-high nine off the draw.
