RHODE ISLAND VS. FORDHAM - SERIES NOTES
  • Rhode Island is 44-36 all time against Fordham. 
  • The first meeting between the Kingston Rams and Bronx Rams was in 1914 and the most recent meeting was on Sunday, May 4, 2025 during a three-game weekend series against the programs in Bronx, N.Y.
  • Rhode Island swept Fordham in last year's series. 
  • URI took the Friday match up in 2025 8-3, Saturday's meeting 15-4, and concluded the weekend series with an 8-7 win on Sunday, May 4, 2025. 
  • Rhode Island scored all eight of its runs in last year's series finale across the seventh and eighth innings to come from behind and beat Fordham. 
  • Scott Penney's eighth inning grand slam gave Rhode Island a 6-5 lead.
  • Former Ram and current pro in the Chicago White Sox farm system Anthony DePino added a two-run homer later in the eighth to give Rhode Island an 8-5 advantage. 
  • Fordham added two runs in the ninth but Rhode Island's three-run lead was enough to soften the blow and help Rhode Island win game three of the series.
2025 ATLANTIC 10 CHAMPIONS HONORED PREGAME
  • The 2025 Rhode Island Baseball team will be awarded its championship rings from a season ago during a pregame recognition before Rhode Island's game against Fordham on Saturday, May 2. 
  •  The 2025 Rhode Island Baseball team won both the Atlantic 10's Regular Season and Postseason crowns while notching a program record 38 wins.
  • Members of the Rhode Island coaching staff and student-athletes will be recognized by name and receive their ring. 
  • The Rams made their third NCAA Tournament appearance  in 2025 and were the No. 3 seed in the Baton Rouge Regional.
