PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Rhode Island fans gathered in the capital city Wednesday night for the first of three Rams on the Rhode events scheduled for this summer. 

University President Marc Parlange welcome the crowd at Wally's Weiners (120 Atwells Avenue, Providence) and introduced Vice President and Director of Athletics Pat Lyons. Attendees also heard from football coach Jim Fleming, men's basketball coach Archie Miller and women's basketball coach Colleen Mullen. Each coach provided brief updates on their rosters. Fans had the opportunity to meet and converse with each of the coaches in a casual setting for a couple hours.

The next Rams on the Rhode event will be held Tuesday, June, 16 at Newport Craft Brewing and Distilling Co. The event is free and open to the public.
