KINGSTON, R.I. — Rhode Island women's soccer was picked to finish third in the A-10, the league released Monday. The team had a pair of Rams earn a spot on the Preseason All-Conference Team. 

Forward Lauren MacDonald was named to the Preseason All-Conference Team along with goalkeeper Dani Eden. MacDonald led the Rams last year with 25 points and 10 goals. She's currently ranked 13th all-time in program history with 47 career points. Eden helped preserve 11 shutouts, setting the program record. A season ago, the Rams finished 5-3-2 in league play, making the A-10 Final game for the first time in 20 years.

Rhody begins the 2026 campaign on Wednesday, Aug. 12 against Maine at the URI Soccer Complex. The game is set to kick off at 7:00 p.m.
