11 First-Place Finishes Highlight Rams Trip to Holy Cross

The Rams had 11 first-place finishes at the Holy Cross Invite with the host Crusaders and Assumption. Jack Reichenbach and Jolon O'Connor both had two first-place finishes to lead the Rams in the non-scoring invitational.

Highlights from the Competition

  • Sam Bond won the hammer throw with a mark of 58.40 meters.
  • The Rams took the 1-2-3 in the shot put, with Derek Jacobs taking first (16.30m), Nick Morse second (15.11m) and Chris Tavarone placing third (14.14m).
  • Jack Reichenbach claimed the long jump after leaping 7.14 meters. John Santos placed second (6.61m) and Orion Joyner was sixth (5.64m).
  • Reichenbach also took home first in the high jump (1.95m). Ryan Tona placed third with a mark of 1.95m and Wyatt Lamell finished fifth (1.75m).
  • Six Rams competed in the pole vault, with Isaiah Powers leading the way finishing second (4.55m). Mason Brubaker placed third (4.40m), Neil Waldhausen was fourth (4.40m) and Stephen Cirella finished fifth (4.25m). Devin Donahue cleared 3.95 meters for sixth and Ryan Tona had a 3.80 meter mark for seventh.
  • In the triple jump, Joyner finished first (13.06m) and Santos placed second (12.82m).
  • Jacobs placed third in the discus after throwing 49.07 meters. Morse was fourth (44.38m).
  • The Rams also took the 1-2-3 in the javelin, Nikolaj Freschlin led the way for first with a throw of 59.47 meters, and Lucas Frost placed second (59.21m), while Seth Cordeiro finished third (58.96m).
  • Ben Fleischer won the 1500 meters in 4:00.18.
  • Cirella finished third in the 110m hurdles in 16.21 seconds.
  • Lucas Plaia crossed the finish line first in the 400 meter with a time of 48.32 seconds.
  • Rhody had the top four finishers in the 100 meters, led by Jolon O'Connor's 10.75-second first-place finish. Nathanial Barjolo placed second (10.79s) and Jarrett Young was third (10.88s). Abraham Tambah finished fourth (11.08s).
  • O'Connor also took first in the 200 meters in 21.71 seconds. Plaia placed second (21.79s), Young was third (22.51s) and Barjolo finished fourth (22.70s).
  • Ianique Imboque placed second in the 800m in 1:51.43. His time sits sixth all-time. Eli Baker was fourth (1:53.97).
  • The 4x400 meter relay team of Eli Baker, Imboque, Nathan Coogan, and Collin Ochs won in 3:29.19.
