KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island won two of the eight events held on the second day of the Harold Anderson Invitational, helping the Rams strengthen its grip on second place in the eight-team meet.
Freshman
Julianna Tyler, junior
Maddie Tetreault and sophomore Sarak Koenig combined to score 48 points in the 400 Individual Medley, Rhode Island's strongest showing of the day. Tyler won the race in a time of 4:25.14, more than three seconds ahead of the field. Tetreault placed third (4:30.21) and Koenig took seventh (4:35.86).
The Rams also did well in the 1-meter dive, where sophomore
Lily Hsu won with a score of 289.90. Freshman
Anna Petke took seventh place and senior
Carleigh Schlissel was 10th as Rhody scored 39 points.
Vermont continued to lead the team standings. The Catamounts won four of the eight events and scored 326 team points on the day. Vermont leads the field with 606 points heading into the final day. Rhode Island is next with 538 points, followed by Wagner (384), Maine (371.5) and Holy Cross (346).
