Winslow Sets New Program Mark in 3-Meter Dive

Results - Day Two

KINGSTON, R.I.
- Rhode Island senior Olivia Winslow set both a program record and the facility record in the 3-meter dive, scoring 326.60 to win the event on the second day of the Harold Anderson Invitational Friday.

Winslow has now won the 3-meter dive in four of the five meets she has entered this season. Her score of 326.60 broke the program record set by teammate Anna Petke (319.95) last season. Winslow also shattered the facility record of 300.55 set by teammate Lily Hsu (300.55) on Nov. 18, 2022.

Winslow led a strong performance in the 3-meter dive for the Rams, who had three of the top four finishers. Emily Whiteneck placed third with a score of 284.35 and Kelsey Kreuscher was fourth with 271.65 points.

The trio accounted for 51 of the 170 URI scored on the second day. Vermont leads the team standings with 338 points, followed by URI (280) and New Hampshire (272).

Rylee Kelly placed third in a very competitive 500-yard freestyle race to open the meet. New Hampshire's Marisa White won the race in 4:55.12, followed closely by Wagner's Mia Goodale (4:55.57) and Kelly (4:55.61), as all three touched the wall in less than half a second from each other.

In the 50-yard freestyle, New Hampshire's Audrey Mahoney broke the facility record during the prelims. Her time of 23.07 seconds broke the mark set by former Team USA Olympian Jenny Thompson, who swam a time of 23.13 on March 11, 1989 as a member of Seacoast Swimming Association. Thompson is one of the most decorated swimmers in history, winning eight gold medals and 12 medals total over four Olympic appearances.
