KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island guard
Jonah Hinton was named Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. He shared the honor with Dayton's De'Shayne Montgomery.
Hinton scored a career-high 24 points to lead Rhode Island to a come-from-behind road win over Yale in the team's lone game of the week. He made five 3-pointers and was 7-for-8 to lead the Rams back from a 10-point second-half deficit.
With URI trailing by one point with 11 minutes to go, Hinton made a 3-pointer and a second-chance jumper to key a 12-5 run that gave URI the lead for good. He also had three assists in the win.
