Rhody Looks Stay Hot Thursday Against Bryant

RHODE ISLAND VS. BRYANT - SERIES NOTES

  • Rhode Island women's soccer is back at the URI Soccer Complex Thursday night for another in-state match up, facing Bryant.
  • It's Rhody's second home match in as many games. The Rams shutout Providence last time out, 2-0.
  • URI welcomes Bryant for the 11th meeting in the all-time series.
  • Rhody holds a 5-4-1 record against the Bulldogs, though Bryant has an undefeated streak of four games in the series.
  • The last Rhody win against Bryant came Sept. 3, 2015 in a 4-2 victory in Smithfield.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

  • Bryant played to a 0-0 tie most recently against Merrimack.
  • The Bulldogs opened 2025 with a 1-0 win over Stonehill. Grayson Edwards had the honors of scoring the first  goal of the year while Nyema Prentice-Whyte was credited with an assist to start the season.
  • Caitlin Forshay is Bryant's leading scoring threat. The sophomore paces the team with two goals through four games.
  • The Bulldogs are led by head coach Andy Biggs, who enters year 11 at the helm.
  • Bryant was selected to finish sixth in the America East poll, released back on July 29.

HOME SWEET HOME

  • Rhode Island has won its first two matches at the URI Soccer Complex to start the season.
  • It's the first time Rhody's started 2-0 in Kingston since 2014.
  • Last year, the Rams went 6-2-1 on home turf.
  • This Thursday, Pam's Food Truck is offering free food vouchers to the first 200 students at the URI Soccer Complex.

EDEN LOCKS IN ANOTHER SHUTOUT

  • Rhode Island keeper Dani Eden turned in her third shutout of the season last time out against the Friars.
  • Last season, Eden had just one appearance between the posts against Richmond before going down with a season-ending injury.
  • The Drexel transfer made eight saves in her Rhody debut against the Spiders, keeping the net empty and shutting out the visitors 6-0.
  • Eden is up to 16 saves this year.
