KINGSTON, R.I. - Connecticut won 11 of 16 events as it steadily pulled away from Rhode Island 188-112 in a head-to-head meet Saturday afternoon.
Freshman
Molly Beckwith led the way for Rhode Island with a pair of individual wins. She won both the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard freestyle races. Beckwith has won the 200-yard freestyle in all three meets of the season thus far.
Standouts from the Pool
- Senior Rylee Kelly won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:08.27. It was her second win of the season in the event.
- Kelly also placed third in the 200-yard freestyle and was part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that placed third.
- Junior Julianna Tyler won the 200-yard butterfly to pick up her third win in the event this year.
- Senior Olivia Winslow won the 1-meter dive with a score of 277.20.
- She was second in the 3-meter dive with a score of 284.33
- Sophomore Carolyn Wanosik was second in the 100-yard breaststroke and fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke.
