KINGSTON, R.I. -
Olivia Winslow won her second event in as many days and Rhode Island took three of the top seven spots in the 200-yard freestyle to highlight URI's efforts on the third day of the Harold Anderson Invitational Saturday.
New Hampshire made a move in the team standings. The Wildcats won three of the day's seven events and added a second-place finish. It helped New Hampshire move past Rhode Island into second place in the nine-team standings. Vermont sits atop the standings with 599 points, followed by UNH (485) and Rhode Island (436).
Winslow won the 1-meter dive after winning the 3-meter event the day before. Her score of 289.55 was 18 points ahead of the rest of the field.
Emily Whiteneck added a fourth-place finish for the Rams.
Rhody had a strong performance in the 200-yard freestyle.
Molly Beckwith placed third in a tightly-contested race. Wagner's Mia Goodale won in a time of 1:50.78. New Hampshire's Audrey Mahoney was .04 seconds behind her, and Beckwith was .12 seconds behind her.
Rylee Kelly took fourth place for URI with a time of 1:51.37 and
Mary McCormick added a seventh-place finish. The trio gave the Rams 43 points in the event.
Julianna Tyler gave Rhode Island 17 points in the 400-yard individual medley. She finished in a time of 4:25.79, behind only Vermont's Jocelyn LeGere. LeGere won the race in 4:23.23, setting the facility record in the process.
The final six events of the Harold Anderson Invitational will be held Sunday. The slate of events is listed below.
