University of Rhode Island

Before entering URI as an undergraduate, Bernard spent four years in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsmen. He also worked as a Navy Diver with EOD (explosive ordinance disposal team). He obtained his graduate degree at California University of Pennsylvania. After obtaining his master's degree, Walls was welcomed back to URI to work as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. He is entering his third year working on staff at Rhode Island. Walls is married and has two children.
