ALAN L. NERO, a 1969 graduate of Springfield College, became a highly successful wrestling coach at URI. His teams won three New England and four conference championships and were ranked nationally. Nero was named New England Coach of the Year three times and is now president of Coordinated Sport Management Group, which represents professional athletes.
