MICHAEL J. "MICKY" MARTYNIK '33, a seven-letterman in baseball and basketball and captain of the basketball team, was an outstanding baseball pitcher and hitter. He reached the Triple-A level in the St. Louis Cardinals organization, playing professionally for seven years following graduation. He eventually became both a successful attorney and an insurance executive.
