Hall of Fame
KEVIN M. MURPHY JR. '82, a standout in soccer for Rhode Island, was named first-team All-Yankee Conference four times, first-team All-New England four times, and first-team All-America once. He captained the Rams as a senior under the guidance of fellow Hall of Famer Geza Henni. Murphy played professionally in the NASL with the Detroit Express and the Washington Diplomats, as well as with the Chicago Horizon in the Major Indoor Soccer League. He served as an assistant coach for the Rams under Henni in 1982.
