PAUL V. QUIGLEY '67, team captain of Rhode Island golf teams in 1966 and 1967, was a three-year letterman who led the Rams to Yankee Conference championships in 1965 and 1967. The Rams also earned an invitation to the NCAA championship in each of those seasons. He was the Rhode Island amateur champion in 1986, 1987 and 1991 and was runner-up on three other occasions. He qualified for the U.S. amateur championship six times and the U.S. mid-amateur once. Named the Rhode Island Golf Association Player of the Year three times, he was also the state junior-senior champion in 1992 and 1993 and won the Rhode Island stroke play title seven times.
