BRIAN E. FORSTER '87, playing tight end on teams that included legendary quarterback Tom Ehrhardt, rewrote the Rhode Island receiving record book. At the time of his induction, he held every school record for receiving and many Conference, New England and tight end 1AA national marks. His URI records included most receptions and yards in a game, season, and career. Forster's 3,944 career receiving yards are 1,200 more than any other Rhode Island receiver. He helped lead the Rams to two NCAA playoff appearances, in 1984 and 1985. The Rams advanced to the semifinals in 1984 and were ranked second in the nation.
