STEVEN P. TOSCHES '79 starred in football at Rhode Island from 1976-78 after transferring from Idaho State. In his two years as the Rams quarterback, he threw for 2,693 yards, compiling 4,772 yards in his career. At the time of his induction he was eighth all-time in passes completed (224) and second in career completion percentage (58.2). He was head coach at Princeton for more than a decade, where he turned the Tigers into an Ivy League powerhouse with three championships in seven years and the most coaching wins during his tenure. He received the Whitelaw Trophy as the 1989 Eastern 1AA Coach of the Year and coached the Ivy League Senior All-Stars to a 68-3 win in the 1993 Epson Ivy Bowl in Tokyo.
