A two-time Yankee Conference individual champion, Morin led Rhode Island to two Yankee Conference team titles as well. As a senior in 1966-67, he won the New England individual title and tied for individual title honors at the ECAC Championship. Rhode Island was 13-0 in dual matches that year en route to the Yankee Conference title. In 1964-65, he won his first individual Yankee Conference title while leading Rhody to the team crown and a spot in the NCAA Championship in Knoxville, Tenn. Rhode Island won its first New England crown that year as Morin finished third in the individual standings. After graduating from URI, went on to a long career in civil service. He was a Rhode Island State Senator in West Warwick (1974-76, 1980-83), and Counsel to the Senate Majority Leader (1990-92). He is a retired associate judge of the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court, where he served from 1991-2011.
