DALE E. BROWN '61 lettered at URI in cross country and has been an avid fan and supporter of athletics at the University for more than 45 years, serving on the executive boards of the Rhode Island Rams Athletic Association and the Fifth Quarter Club. Brown went on to a career in education, teaching physical education in South Kingstown for 32 years, and was the first full-time physical education instructor in the system, establishing the University's physical education curriculum. He spent eight years as a member of the town's Recreation Commission and is a former president of the South Kingstown Teachers Association.
