FRED J. CONGLETON '53, an outstanding basketball player for Rhode Island State College in the early 1950s, scored 1,334 points in his career for the Rams, putting him twenty-first on the all-time Rhode Island list at the time of his induction. He was named to several All-America, All-New England and All-Conference teams, and co-captained the 1953 team.
