EDWARD L. DISIMONE '57 earned numerous gridiron honors, including "Little All-America." He holds the record for most points (30) scored in a football game at URI and starred as a running back for the undefeated 1955 Rams. He was a prominent athletic director and teacher at Johnston Senior High, where he also coached football and baseball. He is a member of the Providence Gridiron Club Hall of Fame.
