STEPHEN A. ROWELL '73 was one of URI's most outstanding basketball players, ranking third on the all-time Ram scoring list with 1,890 career points at the time of his induction. He earned All-East, New England and Conference honors, captained his teams for two years, and became a highly respected director of athletics and basketball coach at Rockport, Mass., High School.
