ANNA M. TUCKER '41, an outstanding women's field hockey and basketball player at Rhode Island State College in the late 1930s and early 1940s, was director of the Rhode Island Department of Elderly Affairs, longtime supporter of the University, and exceedingly active in professional and public affairs. She is a member of the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame.
