JOHN H. LEACH, JR. '57, a walk-on athlete who became a six-letterman at URI in football and baseball, was a prominent member of the 1955 undefeated URI football team and an academic All-America. A retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with 28 years as a combat infantryman and two tours of duty in Vietnam, he later became operations manager at Westerly High School and manager of the URI Conference Center.
