DR. JOHN F. QUINN, Honorary Class '72, was Vice President Emeritus, retiring from the University in 1974 after 27 years, during which time he served as dean of men, dean of students, secretary of the faculty, vice president for student affairs, and graduate professor. During his tenure at Kingston, he had direct responsibility for athletics as Chairman of the Athletic Council. A long-time URI sports enthusiast and a retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander, he remains active in professional and civic affairs.
