LINDA LOUISE ROWELL '76 completed her playing days as URI's all-time leading scorer in women's basketball, averaging 19 points per game as a sophomore and 18 as a junior and senior. She graduated with a 3.68 grade point average. In 1976 she was selected as one of the top 20 players in the East and was invited to the U.S. Olympic basketball trials. She received the Rockport High School Alumni Award for her accomplishments. Very active in the community and with local youth programs, she has been a National Federation Field Hockey official and has worked as a basketball instructor at camps throughout New England.
