MICHELE D. WASHINGTON '86 is the greatest women's basketball player in Rams history. She starred at URI from 1982-86 and at the time of her induction held nine all-time records, including scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage and free throws. She also appears in five other career top 10 statistical categories in the Ram record book. Washington is one of only two Rhode Island athletes to score at least 1,000 points (1,943) and grab at least 1,000 rebounds (1,195) in a career. She was an AIAW All-American and a two-time Kodak District I All-American.
