MARY MCALLISTER '40, active in a variety of athletic endeavors and student activities during her years as a student at Rhode Island, later earned a master's at Boston University. At Rhode Island, she spent three years as a member of the field hockey and tennis teams and played basketball for two seasons. She also served as president of the Women's Athletic Association as a senior and was a sportswriter with the student newspaper. She was active in student activities and served as the Women's Student Government Association's secretary-treasurer as a sophomore, vice president as a junior and president as a senior. She was elected class vice president in her sophomore, junior and senior years.
