GRANT H. POTTER '22, a popular undergraduate and star football player nicknamed "Beef," earned four varsity letters on the gridiron, played in every game, and captained the team in his senior season. An active student-athlete, he was a born leader, serving as president of both his junior and senior classes, president of the R.I. Athletic Association as a junior, and president of the R.I. Club for lettermen as a senior. In 1920 he coached RISC's sophomore baseball team, was a member of the Grist Editorial Board, Student Council, and the honorary society Polygon, and chaired his Commencement Ball Committee.
