EDWARD K. "DUKE" FRACASSA '65, an All-New England and All-Conference football and track athlete at URI, was one of Rhode Island's most prominent schoolboy football coaches, winning two state championships and five division titles while compiling a record of 128-58 over a 19-year career at Bishop Hendricken and Johnston High Schools. A member of the Rhode Island Football Coaches Hall of Fame, he taught for more than 27 years and was a prominent member of Providence Haiti Outreach at the time of his induction.
