ANTHONY V. TETRO '64, winner of the 1964 LeBoeuf Award as URI's top senior male athlete, was a three-year letterman on Ram football teams from 1961-63. He served as captain in 1963 and earned All-Conference and Associated Press All-New England honors, and was named to the ECAC's All-East squad in 1962, leading the Rams in rushing both years as a bruising fullback. He has the distinction of never losing a yard while carrying the ball. Later, Tetro earned a master's from Seton Hall University and from 1970-99 taught physical education at Clarkstown North High School in New York. An assistant football coach from 1970-85, he was named Teacher of the Year in 1998.
