DR. M. DOROTHY MASSEY, Honorary Class '70, a URI Professor Emerita, served as chairperson of the Department of Physical Education for women for 25 of her 40 years at Kingston, which included responsibilities for the women's athletic program, intramurals and recreation. She is credited with being the forerunner of women's athletics at Kingston.
