HENRY Z. BRENNER '56, All-New England and All-Yankee Conference guard in football, was one of the most outstanding players of his era despite the handicap of deafness. A three-year letterman and team co-captain, he was voted best Jewish athlete in Rhode Island in 1953 and honored with B'nai B'rith lodge awards in Boston and New York in 1953 and 1954. A member of Providence Gridiron Club Hall of Fame, he was a highly successful teacher-coach at North Dakota School for the Deaf as well as its Director of Athletics.
