EDWARD K. ADAMS '78, a two-time All-America sailor at URI who became one of the world's leading competitive yachtsmen, winning several prestigious championships, was U.S. Yachtsman of the Year, was co-USOC Athlete of the Year in 1987, and is an Olympic-class athlete.
