CHARLES E. MCGINNIS '69, one of URI's all-time athletes in track and cross-country, earned nine varsity and three freshman numerals and held several school records and regional championships. He also served as assistant coach of track and cross-country at URI for seven years. McGinnis owned his own construction company and became a successful real estate broker as well.
