The 2010-11 academic year marks Gordon Fields' third year at the University of Rhode Island, where he will be working with the Rhody football team. Fields comes to Ocean State after receiving his Bachelors of Science in both Athletic Training and Health Science from Castleton State College in Castleton, Vt. in 2008.While an undergrad, he worked with Castleton's men's basketball men's soccer, softball and women's lacrosse, Fair Haven High School football, and Green Mountain College men's lacrosse. He also spent a summer working with the University of Georgia's football team during the preseason, which inspired him to pursue a position with Division I football. His most recent position was with Shake-A-Leg - a program for people with disabilities - where he served as a strength and conditioning therapist.A Louisville, Ky.-native, Fields currently resides in Warwick, R.I. He is a certified Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist and is enrolled in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program at URI.updated: 6/14/10
