Labowitz was a four-year letterwinner at Rhode Island, finishing her career first all-time on the vault. The Bala Cynwyd, Pa. native went to the NCAA Regionals three times, including an appearance as an individual in 2000. The two-time All-Atlantic 10 gymnast ranks in Rhode Island's top 10 all-time for the all-around, vault, bars and floor.Labowitz earned All-Atlantic 10 honors on the vault and floor and was named team captain in 2002.As a junior Labowitz was an Academic All-American and placed fourth in the floor exercise at the Atlantic 10 Championships with a season-high 9.875, the fourth highest in team history. She also tied for second in floor exercise (9.750) against Maryland, which ended the season ranked 14th nationally.As a sophomore she shared the silver medal in the floor exercise with a school record of 9.950 at the Atlantic 10 Championships. As a freshman, Labowitz won the floor exercise in her first three collegiate meets. Also as a freshman, she set the fourth highest score in school history with a score of 9.850 in a meet against Auburn.Labowitz is currently completing her master's degree at the University of Rhode Island in human development and family studies, with a focus on work and family balance.
